Caring for your FOVIER pieces
Proper care helps preserve the fit, color, texture, and details of your garment.
Always follow the care label attached to the individual item. Where the product care label differs from the general guidance below, the care label should be followed.
General garment care
- Wash only when necessary;
- Use cold or cool water unless the care label states otherwise;
- Use a mild detergent;
- Wash dark and light colors separately;
- Avoid bleach unless expressly permitted;
- Do not leave garments soaking for extended periods;
- Avoid high heat;
- Reshape garments while damp where appropriate; and
- Store items clean and completely dry.
Delicate fabrics
For satin, lace, mesh, chiffon, crochet, and other delicate materials:
- Hand wash gently when permitted by the care label;
- Avoid twisting or wringing;
- Keep away from rough surfaces and sharp jewelry;
- Dry flat or hang carefully as appropriate; and
- Use low heat or steam from a safe distance.
Embellished pieces
For garments with sequins, beads, hardware, appliqué, or other embellishments:
- Handle carefully;
- Avoid friction and snagging;
- Do not machine wash unless specifically permitted;
- Store separately from items that may catch or scratch the embellishment; and
- Consider professional cleaning when recommended.
Jewelry and accessories
- Keep away from water, perfume, lotions, cosmetics, and household chemicals;
- Remove before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping;
- Store in a clean, dry place;
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and humidity; and
- Wipe gently after use with a soft, dry cloth.
